Carers need support too. Reliable and professional in home respite care.
Caring for someone can be very rewarding, but it can also be demanding and tiring work — both physically and emotionally. It's important to take time off to give yourself a break and to look after your own health and wellbeing. This can happen through respite care.
Through our angelcare-at-home® services, we provide a full range of respite services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so an Angel is there when you cannot be. An experienced Angel® comes to your home (or the home of the person you care for) so that you can go out for a few hours. Or, they may take the person you care for on an outing for a few hours while you have a break.
Respite care may be for a few hours or days or for longer periods, depending on your needs, respite can happen during the day or overnight. We can send an Angel to facilities such as an overnight respite cottage, a day centre or aged care home.
Caring for someone at home can mean helping out with a variety of day-to-day activities including, bathing, dressing, feeding, managing medications and/or providing transport. An Angel can even help with errands such as banking, shopping and paying the bills, whatever is needed to give you a rest.
Case Management in collaboration with clients and families is offered to clients with special and complex needs. Help with continuity of case management for liaison with previous service providers, specialists, mental health and medical support services, referral to new community and social support services, as well as liaison with family and guardians is what we do best.
DIAL-AN-ANGEL® is an approved provider to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Currently in NSW and South Australia, we are approved for Personal Care and related supports plus Household Tasks, and in Victoria we are approved for Household Tasks. As the scheme rolls out our intention is to accredit other offices.
